Design & Build

How we helped

The brief from the client was to preserve an existing structure that we had previously designed and built, which needed to be moved to a new location and given a new interior look and feel.

The dismantle, move and re-install of the structure took 3 weeks – half the time we would usually take to build a brand new marketing suite.

Every detail was considered when the specialist timber frame team dismantled it by hand, to ensure the premium wood finish was protected. In its kit form, transport was easy and no cranes were required in either the dismantle or re-erection. Read more about the move process in our blog post here.

What was achieved

We took inspiration from Taylor Wimpey’s roll out design with a bespoke approach. We mirrored the metal box frame legs, the impress wood flooring and the entrance plinth however implemented some minor changes to reflect the branding for Stortford Fields.

We maximised the customer journey by creating 3 zones within the space. On entry, you can discover the site and surrounding area from the entrance plinth and graphics. A seating area is situated to the right of the space for customers to wait and relax, with the sales desks situated on the left. The overall feel of the space was inspired by Scandinavian style with birch face plywood, alongside the bold branding.
